Terrence Liercke Named Reagan National Airport Manager

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority on Thursday announced that aviation industry veteran Terrence “Terry” Liercke has been named vice president and airport manager of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. In his new position, Liercke will oversee all management and operational functions at Reagan National (DCA), which is served by eight major airlines that carry more than 25 million passengers a year to and from the Washington region and is home to America’s busiest runway.

J. Paul Malandrino will retire at the end of May after 17 years as Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Vice President and Reagan National Airport Manager. His leadership and career accomplishments spanned 58 years, including 30 years of military service. Malandrino guided Reagan National Airport through a period of momentous challenge and growth, including navigating the COVID-19 pandemic and changes from major construction in response to unprecedented passenger activity.
